The celebration will take place on Saturday, Nov. 1, from 3 to 10 p.m. at the Chicano House, located north of the University Library on the west side of the campus at 18111 Nordhoff St., Northridge.
Four separate events will take place in different locations across campus located at 18111 Nordhoff St. in Northridge, all providing attendees with opportunities to learn and grow their knowledge about Africana studies.
California State University, Northridge’s College of Social and Behavioral Sciences will host CSUN’s fourth annual BikeFest on Sunday, Nov. 2 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. BikeFest is free and open to the public.
The series received a record-breaking 430 film submissions from students across 53 schools in California, with only 33 films becoming finalists.
The band was first established in a CSUN music class in 2000, when Prof. Ric Alviso first joined CSUN’s Music department.
Since 1995, K-12 students and teachers have published their research in The New Journal of Student Research Abstracts, created by Dr. Steven Oppenheimer who hopes of instilling a curiosity in science beyond the classroom.
The ceremony will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 14 from 5 to 8 p.m. The event begins with a brief dedication and ribbon cutting in Sierra Tower 404.
All film showings will take place on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. in the Armer Screening Room, located in Manzanita Hall.
CSUN is opening its doors to local high school and community college students on Saturday, Oct. 25, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., for an all-access look at the campus, its academic programs and student support services.
