California State University Northridge’s College of Social and Behavioral Sciences will host CSUN’s third annual BikeFest on Sunday, Nov. 3, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. BikeFest is free and open to the public.

The event begins at 8:30 a.m. with a group ride around the San Fernando Valley. Experienced riders can take part in the 25-mile tour beginning at 9.a.m., and novice riders can join the 20-mile excursion beginning at 9:15 a.m.

BikeFest will host outdoor spin classes beginning at 10 a.m. There will also be bike safety demonstrations by Safe Moves for children. Bicycle-related vendors will be at the event, including REI and SeriousCycling. Bike valet and bike repairs will be available. Vendor booths open at 10 a.m. Food trucks and a DJ will be present.

The TREK costume family fun ride begins at 2 p.m. The ride will have a group leader to help guide participants through the route, which will take riders, encouraged to wear Halloween costumes, around the walkways of the campus.

Leashed pets are welcomed to the event, as well as skateboards, non-electric scooters and assistive mobility devices.

The event will be located on the access road in front of the Soraya, along Nordhoff Street near Lindley Avenue. Participants can park in CSUN’s F-5 surface lot, G-4 surface lot, G-3 parking structure and G-3 surface lot with purchase of a parking pass. For more information, visit the website.
