Gita Kronen recently pledged a gift for scholarships for the CSUN Honors String Quartet.
Once again, The Hollywood Reporter has named California State University, Northridge one of the top 20 music schools in the world, alongside such institutions at The Julliard School, Berklee College of Music, University of Southern California’s Thornton School of Music and Royal College of Music in England.
California State University, Northridge has once again earned a place among the nation’s top music business programs, according to Billboard magazine.
The CSUN Symphony Orchestra played a live-to-film concert to the movie “Toy Story,” highlighting the link between the Mike Curb College and The Soraya.
The band was first established in a CSUN music class in 2000, when Prof. Ric Alviso first joined CSUN’s Music department.
The performance will take place on Thursday, April 17 at 8 p.m. and is located at CSUN’s Younes and Soraya Nazarian Center for the Performing Arts (The Soraya) located at 18111 Nordhoff St. in Northridge.
CSUN is a launchpad for numerous entertainment industry careers, offering diverse programs that prepare students for roles outside the spotlight.
The performance, which will include a vocalist, Daryn Dean, is scheduled to take place on Thursday, Feb. 13, at 8 p.m., at The Soraya, located at 18111 Nordhoff St, Northridge.
