Forbes has ranked California State University, Northridge as one of America’s top 100 midsize employers for 2021. CSUN is number 52 on the overall list, and number six on the educational employers list.
The ranking, performed by Forbes and market research firm Statistica, was done via surveys to a sample of more than 50,000 employees across the United States. The anonymous survey focused on six categories: atmosphere, image, working conditions, salary/wages, workplace and diversity.
“I am very excited to hear of the Forbes honor identifying CSUN as one the best mid-size employers,” said Kristina de la Vega, associate vice president of Human Resources. “This achievement is possible because our employees proudly shared of their experiences working at CSUN.”
CSUN has appeared on Forbes lists before, being recognized as one of America’s best employers in 2020. The university was also ranked in the top 100 for America’s Best Value Colleges in 2019, and in the top 500 for America’s Best Colleges in that same year as well.
“At CSUN we know student success depends on employee success,” de la Vega said. “We continually look at ways to support employees in their growth and cultivate an inclusive workplace where everyone is valued.”
