Another year, another festive President’s Picnic. On Aug. 29, students, faculty and staff gathered at Bayramian Hall Lawn to ring in the academic year with music, food and outdoor games such as Jenga, Cornhole and Connect 4. Posted signs that said “Take a seat, get out of the heat” and “Mmm tacos,” enticed students to take a break and enjoy each other’s company.

Students linked up for the taco bar while the D.J. hit songs from artists such as Frank Ocean and Tyler, the Creator while students lined up for the taco bar, sponsored for Matador Eats. Volunteers went around taking fun photos of attendees with signs that read “CSUN” and a circular frame that read “Once a Matador, always a Matador.” President Erika D. Beckposed with students for photos, and handed out CSUN themed lanyards and glasses.

Different tents were lined up on the Cleary Walk for students to visit and get more information on organizations such as Information Technology, the Mentorship ProgramAssociated Students and New Student Orientation.  Check out some highlights of the event, in photos.
