The CSUN Faculty Senate celebrated outstanding educators at the annual Honored Faculty Awards Reception, which took place May 1 at the Orchard Conference Center.

Doug Emhoff ’87 (Communication Studies), former Second Gentleman of the United States, returned to CSUN to deliver the keynote address at the university’s Honors Convocation ceremony on May 9.

Chemistry master’s student Samantha “Sammie” Ellis and undergraduate astrophysics major Jesus Poblano recently received one of the most competitive and prestigious awards for students in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP).
