Sheryl Crow is set to host Women Crush Wednesday on 88.5 FM, The SoCal Sound, bringing the Grammy Award winner and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee to the station’s airwaves.

After selling tens of millions of records worldwide and headlining global tours, Crow will be in-studio on Wednesday, Oct. 7 for Women Crush Wednesday, which airs on the first Wednesday of every month on The SoCal Sound and The SoCal Sound APP.

“Sheryl Crow not only has an affinity for radio but is a staunch supporter of public media and women in music,” program director Marc “Mookie” Kaczor said. “The perfect Women Crush Wednesday ambassador”.

The monthly event shines a spotlight on women in music, the arts, public media and the community, with music played exclusively by women and female-fronted artists throughout the day.

Each month, a new host takes the mic as an ambassador and champion for women in music. Throughout the day, the host brings Women Crush Wednesday to life by sharing stories and spotlighting music—including tracks by female artists who have inspired them.

“Sheryl Crow is the embodiment of what it means to be a woman in rock- talented, unapologetic, and influential to so many,” director of marketing, promotion and engagement Hillary Gordon said. “Her voice, songwriting, and love of public radio have inspired generations, making her the perfect Women Crush Wednesday Ambassador.”
