
On February 28, 2026, the Engineers’ Council hosted its annual Honors and Awards Banquet at the Sheraton Universal Hotel in Universal City, continuing its longstanding tradition of recognizing outstanding contributions in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Fourteen of this year’s honorees are faculty members of CSUN’s Andrew J. Anagnost College of Engineering and Computer Science. Among them, David M. Boyajian and Kyle Dewey received the Distinguished Engineering Educator Award, recognizing exceptional contributions to engineering education and academic leadership.
The celebration also honored emerging and established leaders in the field. Rasoul Narimani and Tohid Sardarmehni were recognized with the Future Technology Leader Award for significant early-career achievements, and the Outstanding Engineering Achievement Merit Award was presented to Rais Ahmad, Qais Amarkhil, Marjan Asadinia, Rashida Hasan, Brad Jackson, Aram Khachatourians, Bingbing Li, Melih Papila, Maya Pishvar and Maryam Tabibzadeh for their impactful contributions to research, innovation and engineering practice. The evening was a proud moment for the CSUN Anagnost College, highlighting the continued excellence and leadership of its faculty in advancing STEM fields.
The Engineers’ Council, formerly known as the San Fernando Valley Engineers’ Council, is a nonprofit, professional society focused on the advancement of science and engineering education, while also encouraging students to pursue careers in STEM fields.
