From films that capture the struggle of being mocked about a stutter to the difficult choices immigrants must face, the public is invited to explore stories that a future generation of filmmakers have brought to light at California State University, Northridge’s 35th Annual Senior Film Showcase on Wednesday, April 29.
A panel conversation on the 50th anniversary of Alex Haley’s landmark novel, “Roots: The Saga of an American Family,’ will include three members of the original television cast.
CSUN is celebrating the 30th anniversary of its first philanthropic gift from the Golden Globe Foundation.
The award-winning entertainment news site TheWrap has included California State University, Northridge among the nation’s top 50 film schools of 2025, alongside such prestigious institutions as the University of Southern California, New York University and AFI Conservatory.
The series received a record-breaking 430 film submissions from students across 53 schools in California, with only 33 films becoming finalists.
All film showings will take place on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. in the Armer Screening Room, located in Manzanita Hall.
