Heads up, Matadors — the spring 2025 semester is rapidly approaching! Bookmark or subscribe to the Student Academic Calendar and the Registration Calendar pages to stay on top of important dates through the semester– in the meantime, here’s a rundown of the upcoming semester. 

Important Dates for Spring 2025 

Weekday classes begin Tuesday, Jan. 21.

Weekend classes begin Saturday, Jan 25.  NoteFriday-only and Friday-Saturday classes begin Friday, Jan. 24. 

Important Dates for Spring 2025  

Jan. 20Martin Luther King Jr. Day; Campus will be closed. 

Jan. 21: Weekday classes begin and late registration begins

Jan 26: Last day to waitlist for closed classes. 

Jan. 27: Permission numbers required to add all classes. 

Feb. 7: Last day to be eligible for a partial refund when dropping below 6.1 units. 

Feb. 14: Last day to submit documents to confirm fall 2024 Bachelor’s graduation

Feb. 16: Last day to drop classes online. 

Feb. 17 and on: Formal approval required to drop one or more classes. 

March 7: Last day to apply for bachelor’s graduation and be included in the 2025 Commencement Program.

March 17-23: Spring recess; No instruction. 

Mar. 31: Cesar Chavez holiday; Campus will be closed. 

Apr. 18: Last day to add classes online with instructor’s permission. 

May 3 and 4: Last weekend classes

May 9: Last day of formal instruction

May 10: Honors Convocation.

May 10-16: Final exams week.

May 16-19: Commencement ceremonies.

May 23: Last official day of the spring 2025 semester. 

May 26: Memorial Day; Campus is closed.
