Commencement and events and finals, oh my! With the end of the 2023-2024 academic year approaching, it can be tough to keep track. CSUN Newsroom is here to lend a hand. 

For all CSUN students, the Student Academic Calendar is always helpful. Here’s a roundup of some key dates.

May 4-5: Last weekend classes.

May 10: Last day of formal instruction.

May 11-17: Final Exams.

May 17-20: Commencement ceremonies.

May 23: Last day of academic year.

May 24: Summer class for sessions 1 and 2 begin.

May 25-27: Memorial Day holiday. Campus is closed.

For Graduating Seniors, the CSUN Commencement and Bachelor’s Degree Application and Document Deadlines page can keep you on track.

May 6-16 (9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.): Students that PRE-ORDERED regalia online, prior to March 24, will be able to pick-up their rental orders at the Campus Store.

May 7-16 (9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.): Students that DID NOT PRE-ORDER regalia online, regalia will be available for rent and pickup at the Campus Store.

May 17-20: Commencement Ceremonies

The commencement ceremonies page includes dates and times of commencement ceremonies by college, as well as numerous cultural celebrations, such as Black Graduation, Rainbow Graduation, Veteran Graduation, Undocu-Graduation and hooding ceremonies for master’s and doctoral graduates.
